When I was in Greece painting, it was all about watercolor. It lends itself to watercolors which can be done on location making it unnecessary to bring home so many photos. It would be easy to translate this to oils, but it may not have the freshness of a watercolor. It's another wonderful place for an artist and I may go back and work harder since I wouldn't have to be a tourist the next time.

A Day In Venice

This is the typical picture of Venice. I photographed the canal and have painted it several times. Adding the gondolas seemed to give it some life. Like most every tourist, I could go back to Venice and sit down and paint forever. It was a great pleasure to walk around, cross the bridges and take in the sights and sounds of this famous city. My pictures continue to get larger since there is so much one can put in them. This size is 24 x 30.

Payette Winter

This is the beautiful Payette River in Idaho.
